so what I'm thinking is the reason all the past wives died is because he would mess with them and in turn the king would beat/kill them????? So he forcefully kissed her so the king could do the same to her. But she's just going through trauma right now because of everything happening to her so she's seeing things. Her "brother" ends up helping her get out though.
