whattt fr? I thought it was pretty decent, considering its just hentai, same with this manga, its just smut with a tinge of plot. but their both really good. maybe I just have low standards lol
shounen ai is usually BL with an actual plot tho, which calls for a higher budget in general cuz the episodes would be longer and there would be more episodes too. for example; given, banana fish etc. while yaoi is basically just smut. thats why most hentais are short too, I mean its just smut lol.

no yaoi is not just smut and shounen Ai is not just plot wtf is that lol its literally all called BL anyway, its westerners who made this weird distinction and started the whole misconception. yaoi was never used in jpn to mean exclusive focus on sexual mlm relationships and shounen ai has a lot of negative connotations tied to it actually. banana fish is not bl too btw lol and there is no fucking rule that explicit works don't get longer series??? sekaiichi Hatsukoi, junjou romantica, super lovers, love stage etc. literally exist????

bro why are you so angry??? im not even a westerner first of all; I feel kind of offended tbh that you would think I am. and I did say yaoi is just smut???? thats literally my whole point. im just saying that in general, most smut anime are lower quality bc its just smut so it doesnt require a huge budget to begin with not that all smuts have a lower budget. idk why you're so angry? ik yaoi is BL, I mean it is a gay relationship after all. and also banana fish is a BL, I mean they were in love with each other, even the author stated, just bc the plot didnt revolve around their romance, doesnt mean they aren't a BL couple. i guess you could call banana fish action or crime thriller but its still a BL, you know cuz BOYS LOVE
lets not kid ourselves further, the anime adaptation is pure garbage so let's just enjoy the source material as much as we can by not talking about the anime (p.s im not angry)
