I dislike the ML but I do not hate the manwha at all it’s amazing, and just because I posted a lengthy comment doesn’t mean I’m getting aggravated to the extreme. i like this comment, people are trying to justify what the duke did wrong, which is okay but doesn't mean he wasn't wrong he isn't completely innocent nor evil was just pathetic and that's the point, the fact the duke couldn't do anything much is true due to how may enemies he had but doesn't make his actions any less detestable, and end point let people have their opinion of characters.
I’m so tired of y’all always forgiving the ML’s actions just because of a stupid sob story. Yes he was forced into submission by MC’s dad but at the same time he could’ve done small things to make sure that reina was okay. He did not try at all. He could’ve lied, he could’ve hired special attendants, etc. he could’ve done so many things but because he was a coward he chose not to. I really couldn’t care less about his side or his past because what he did was literally unforgivable (imo)
Another thing, there was a post above this basically saying that MC’s actions due to trauma is the same to ML’s because MC was negligent (towards her duties as duchess and mother) What kind of stupidity is that? The MC was mentally and physically abused by her own father later on being mentally abused and neglected by her own husband, WHAT KIND OF TRAUMA DO YOU EXPECT THIS WOMAN TO NOT HAVE?! Yes she was a bad mother but NO ONE tried to help her. AND THEY ALL KNEW SHE WASNT OK BECAUSE THEY ALL KNEW WHAT SHE WENT THROUGH. But apparently she was a bad mother so she deserved to get her child taken away instead of getting emotional support from her husband etc.
All in all, fuck his sob story, fuck him, and I’m not arguing with anybody. Those who forgive over a simple sob story are the weakest links.
