Initially, the Prince like to be engaged to Ancia's sister (dunno if the did met before thou, not mentioned afa) but because Ancia's father likes Ancia's sister so much and he hates Ancia that is why Ancia is the one he gave to the Prince (he gave Ancia because the Prince is cursed and he wants Ancia to suffer).
