What does the nanny have to do with catena gaining power? I can't understand...

Omg I forgot to clarify but Rezef kills Cayena's nanny because Cayena is currently the Head of the Inner Palace which means she can dismiss and appoint employees. Since she already did an inspection with the employees and shown that she isnt afraid to dismiss/punish people, it means she is willing to weed out Rezef's people from the Inner palace.
The Current Head Maid is Rezef's nanny but if Cayena brings her nanny back to the palace, it means she might dismiss Rezef's nanny and appoint her nanny as the Head Maid. Having a loyal servant/person as a Head Mead helps since everything that happens in the Palace will go through the Head Maid thus boosting Cayena's power.
hello sweeties!! im back with spoilers ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
all of the spoilers are stuff ive read in the novel, please check novelupdates for the chapters!!
- Rafael meets up with Cayena in the Academy to discuss the building they will build in honor of her.
- While Cayena is waiting for Rafael (since she arrived early), she sees a bunch of students bullying a boy. She confronts them and finds out the boy they are bullying is her half-brother.
- Half-brother looks more like Cayena than the Prince and is very handsome at a young age. He is also a genius in the sword. When he meets Cayena, he is wary but after a while, he become to adore and love Cayena.
- The principal goes to greet Cayena but Cayena starts dissing him and the academy for letting bullying take place. She then acknowledges her half-brother as her sibling which means if anything bad happens to him, she will respond as his sister.
- Cayena takes half-brother to the clinic to get patched up and to change clothes. Rafael arrives but she sends Olivia to greet him while Cayena is busy with her brother cause she is treating him.
- Rafael is surprised to see Cayena with her half-brother. While Rafael tries to escort Cayena, half-brother gets jealous since his sister is precious and Rafael isn't adoring his sister enough. They begin to have a competitive relationship on who loves Cayena more throughout the book.
- They venture and decide the building. Half-brother leaves to attend afternoon classes and Rafael guides Cayena to dinner. Rafael then confesses the he wishes Cayena would treat him more closely after Cayena tells him she wants him and Olivia to be close. Cayena realizes she still has feelings for him and decides to think over later.
- after the meal, as Cayena was boarding her carriage she notices the horseman/driver to be different and asks Olivia to get something she forgot from the academy. She whispers to her that she might be kidnapped and asks for help. Olivia obviously goes to Rafael as Cayena's carriage leaves.
- Cayena was kidnapped by that creepy dude in the library, Viscount something. Viscount wanted to kidnap her and disgrace her so that she has no choice but to marry him. Luckily Cayena knows him well due to her past life experience and threatens him that if he does anything she will shoot her face.
- Viscount is obsessed with pretty things so he is shocked that Cayena knows and doesnt do shit. This buys Rafael time and she is rescued.
- While this is happening, Julia, the blonde lady in waiting, serves the prince some refreshments. She begins to like the prince. (Minor spoiler: she is a little annoying in the current story arc but she becomes a bad ass queen later on so bare with her char development) She leaves. This is when the Rezef the princes hears his sister is missing and breaks his probation to save her.
- When Rezef arrives with his knights, Cayena is already safe and with Rafael. Rezef then questions why Rafael and Cayena are together. Rezef decides to kill Cayena's nanny so Cayena won't gain any more chances of freedom/power.
