The funny thing is: they only succeeded in making the live action drama even MORE GAY than the original DESPITE the censorship nonsense. Apart from the actual love confession and kisses ofc. But the actors all CLEARLY knew what they were doing and how to get stuff past the censorship and still make it obvious as fuck.
But yeah, read the lovel. And listen to the audio drama which is really really good as well.

I understand the frustration. The drama added a lot of plot (and took loots away...) and changed the order of the story significantly. Not that it's a bad thing, it just can make people really confused...
While the donghua and manhua are in a slightly different order than the novel, other than that and some cut scenes, they are pretty much following the novel so far.
So imo you should read the novel, where you have the full image of the story in the right order. And it's a lot of fun :D
As for where the last chapter places in drama - it was completely omitted, and it should've happened sometime between ep 25 and 26, I think? Around that time if I remember correctly. But, like I said they changed it a lot, so it's quite hard to place...
I can’t correlate the manhua with the donghua and drama, I just finished the drama but it really felt like cliffhanger I- (´༎ρ༎`) so I decided to take a look at manhua first before the novel
the drama plot went just straight up from present - past - and back to present, so I was rly perplexed when I came here
Can someone please explain or tell me which episode of the drama is this chapter in :(
