Well she's a customer, and as a business owner you want to provide good service. It has no relation with being a good person, you just need to be professional and fair.
Well she's the maid who is responsible with the jewelry and her masters found out the ring is imitation then where is the real ring? Probably her masters accuse her of stealing. If she can't prove immediately that she's innocent then she won't find any other opportunity because she's a commoner maid and her masters are aristocrats.
I would have slapped the sh** out of that lady, had she been making a scene and crying like that on me. And for that reason. Literally no one was dying.
