Ok : this is what i understood, it might not be all accurate
On the castle side :
I guess the crown prince uncle (mean general) might have falsified the secret message to push for war (the message antenna and the princess saw in his office)…
the crown prince is not a dumb puppet so he tried softly to amend it (his power is very little) the should be why he said he will go see himself
At the same time, that gives a reason to the bad uncle to go with a big delegation (enough for war start ?)
As Antenna reflects, the empire is always at war, because it wants to be bigger - and she thinks it’s a fault (it brings instability) - so we don’t have an official war map, but the princess was working with the general, and she hinted at is … so …
On the twin side :
The general uncle side use the expedition du bully the duke (he can’t wear his colors and he’s no one in the crowd
Th princess suspects that it’s still a waring project in the end and want to send supplies - because she doesn’t manage to get rid of the dangerous znd now useless Antenna, she wants to send her with the supply, and the secret message she found his the general uncle office
i think. Because her brother his soft, she plans to be ruthless in his stead, even if it costs her (?
You could also believe she really wants to betray him, but i think not- of course, i could be wrong, but i think she’s doing everything for his sake : even things he doesn’t want and never wanted her to do ( he doesn’t or at least didn’t care for the crown, but maybe she does ? At least the need change to be safe (getting rid of the general is a must !)
This is another point , when the duke saw Antenna in danger, he suddenly felt the need to assert his power, which he had no care for before - it’s still far from aiming at the crown
They probably have no clue on their little brother true situation (not just a puppet, but a beaten puppet)
On the wild card side
The emperor arrival is throwing a lots of plans to the ditch , so she has to act fast in the shadows (sending supplies and getting rid of the general spies
Now we have a lot of random on the emperor’s side
We know there a bearded uncle who tried to protect the princess (giving her advices)
We know some of his people (red haired moustache bad guy) are bringing forceful order in the streets, but what does the emperor really think about it ?
The emperor also has yet to be influenced by Antenna’s novel, and influence (flowers at the end of c49)to see how he could weight on the situation and the succession
We can at least hope he won’t let the general continue to control his son ?
What he thinks of the expedition is still a mystery too
Somebody please explain what's going on with the whole expedition thing?
