I think she is just afraid that he will kill/harm her if he knows the truth but like after spending that much time with him she should know he isn’t like that (●￣(ｴ)￣●)
Cabel's expressions really showed that he likes her and he isn't harmful. But, she just had this expressions of battle field and sleep deprived image of cabel fixated in her head and is unseeing most of the things.
Now that she realised, the blondie isn't what she thought, I just hope she actually pays good attention to cabel.

Renee will eventually confess to Cabel that she's scared of him. This happens when they'll fight bcuz of that psycho prince. After that, Cabel felt so sorry and got cautious of his actions towards renee. He doesn't want renee to hate her he loves her that much.
