I'm pretty sure it's only when they recognize her as saintess because that's when they have the "instinct" or something the protect and obey her. But so far Noel is the only one who's recognized her and I think ahuin is starting to believe she's a saintess too.
But I thought the wings couldn’t hurt the true saintess or is that only of the recognized her as it ?
