I understand where you're coming from, but I think his heart is still open to other people. He isn't used to being treated kindly without motive and Norihiko is just preying on his daddy issues. If he met an actual good person who treated him right I bet he could be with them. Though that might not be the route the author is going towards.

I know Ikuro is really malicious toward innocent Ranzo, but I really wanted to cry when he said he's had no one except Norihiko the whole time...that dependence and need, there's no way anyone can easily beat that, which is why I don't think he'd ever be able to get together with anyone besides Norihiko
If Norihiko ever disappeared, Ikuro wouldn't be able to cope with it at all
