Ooh, have you tried beauty pop? The romance aspect doesn't play a huge part of the plot and the female lead is really awesome.

Shoujo manga with a tomboy with no interest in love and hardly any romance, focusing more on humor? I love mangas like these! (PS- I've read Maid Sama [Which focuses on romance, but it was good], Perfect Girl Evolution, Oresama Teacher, Himitsu no Ai [Not particularly fond of it; it gets too romance oriented too soon] and Mizutama Honey Boy, Koi Dano Ai Dano [Not a tomboy, but the almost non-existent focus on romance on the female's part is an inevitable thumbs up (๑•ㅂ•)و✧)
