He has a total inferiority complex and tries to over-compensate by hunting for expensive demon cores while on monster subjugations. He's so naive, he doesn't even understand what his wife most desperately needs: her rightful power and respect. Even today, you see men not being aware of inter-familial conflicts, or they can't be bothered with "trifling matters".
PS: And as we recently found out, war made the already quite reserved ML go cold. War does that to people. When you've faced death, any issue seems easy to deal with.
I hate the ml yet I pity him
Excluding all those negativity happened to his duchy, I hate him for giving a cold shoulder to his wife which leads people disrespect and disregard her as a Mistress of the duchy.
I don't see any good character from ML.
Except, as the time turned back which fl decided to change her husband for the sake of herself.
