I thinks its because the artist has given her the appearance of an 8-year-old when she is in fact 14. When she reaches 15-16 she will already be considered of marriagble age in that sort of society. But like the previous commenter said any romance she has won't be for many years from now.

Yeah, so now that i know that the red haired knight ends up with that little kid I can't help but feel pretty creeped out by it. Like can't we have for once a story that it's only about adult people falling in love and all that without getting into pedo/grooming territory in some way or another? Why tf does the kid even need to have her own romantic interest??
