the novel didn't exactly tell what happened but i think it's bcs the more the apocalypse happen the more real it is. so for dokja who once saw yjh and others as a mere character as the times go he'll see them as a real human being
they kinda just became "npcs" or juct characters from the story, and the ppl who dont have profiles are still "humans" originated from real life. i didnt read the novel so idk y tho
for apostles they become npcs the moment their knowledge of the novel is useless. for example if someone read until the 1st scenario arc but they entered the 2nd scenario and don't have any information left to use they become characters. as for people like sangah, gilyoung, heewon etc. i don't really remember
