I'm 24 and I'm sure there must be even older people here. But hey, if what you want is hard sex, the 98% of the rest of Yaoi stories (and I'm telling you that cause I have already read them) has it. If you don't know how to appreciate good work go for a different one and stop blurting nonsense c:
Nice to meet you too.

You made me laugh! I understand you at this point.
I really love this manhua even if the development his really slow. In the manhua's defense, I would say that it's pretty normal. They are still in middle school and are "exploring the mysteries of teenagers lives with all the angst" if I can phrase it like that.
If you look at the beginning of the story which is around the 50th chapter, I don't think the story timeline is more than six months. We saw in earlier chapters the main couple with Zhenxi in college and Jian Yi in high school and that's the present. Right now, it's about their past and what happened before Jian Yi was abducted.
I know that it's pretty tiring seeing people reacting only at the "hotness" of the guy, but I want to see past that, because other than the delusional "OMG! So hot! Love triangle incoooming, giggles <3 <3", I believe that he's important to the story.
I actually enjoy the story, even if it's not fast paced. The status quo in the main couple is not that bad right now, because Zhengxi right is sorting out his feelings and Jian Yi want just to be with him even if it doesn't mean more for Xi.
For the "side gays" as people like calling them, Guanshan reaction to the kiss was one of the most satisfying reaction I've seen in a BL. It's not the "kiss kiss fall in love" situation I tend to see in every abusive relationship in BL. He's afraid of He Tian. I think he is kind of scared of the new guy too, cause he was sweating and stuttering when he saw him.
That's my two cents about it and like you, I find it very bothersome that people only think about the hotness of the guy. I think Old Xian is doing a good job with this manhua and is a good storyteller.

I complained about the new hot guy. So you can assume it's not sex what I want. I want good and emotional writing. The mangaka is capable of that, we saw that in several chapters. But the story is going nowhere. Read it from the beginning (I did some days ago!) and you will see. It's a mess, no (character)development at all, we don't know anything about the characters and it's just too late to give this story some depth. On the other hand it's full of cliches I don't even know where to start. It's all about hot guys doing hot stuff. Period. The lack of sex doesn't mean, that this is good storytelling.
About the other 98% of yaoi manga you mention: no thanks. I search for the good ones. And sometimes it's a tiring search with no happy end.

I agree

Whoa, whoa. The original commenter didn't mention anywhere that she/he is anywhere in need for hardcore sex. The fact that they are getting tired of it is none of your concern, for there are others out there including myself and my sister who are of the same opinion and would like to see another person have it. Why do you feel fired up? Please do not be rude to a person expressing their valid criticism. She is perfectly allowed to criticize.

I agree the development on the main couple is quite slow and opposite for he tian and guanshan which is why im more into them than xixi and jian yi. But cant blame of old xian trying to be realistic because a person cannot fall in love with a man so fast if hes straight in the first place.

No character development? Really? You're kidding, right? What are you calling a character development at this point?
First of all, Mo Guanshan doesn't go searching for fights anymore. He tries to avoid the main couple and He Tian at some point. Even if his father is in jail, from what we have seen in the latest chapter, he is on good terms with his mother.
Zhan Zhengxi doesn't hit Jian Yi anymore and tries to understand his friend. Avoiding the topic of love is perfectly normal. Not every teenager is open-minded about relationships and the big hurdle here is the gay relationship. Zhengxi is not oblivious anymore, he knows what his friend want and try to process thing at his pace. If that is not what we could call a development, I don't really know the meaning behind it.
As for the others, Jian Yi didn't change the way he is because of his friend. At this point, he wants to maintain the status quo.
He Tian is the only one who didn't change at this point and his time is coming too.
For the clichés, I would appreciate if you name them instead of just saying that.
At last, it's about "one day". If "one day" is one chapter, how many "days" does it take for a span of a single day to be complete?
For Jian yi's birthday it was "17 days"
The day Guanshan was introduced is the same day Zhengxi and him fight, "15 days"
The day Jian Yi was almost kidnapped, "26 days".
My point is that the narrative is very slow paced because of Old Xian's choice to draw a single day (how they behave at school and the night, what you call "hot guys doing hot stuff").
Is the story going nowhere? I think she is trying go somewhere, we know that the main couple was separated for two years and that's about it for now. I can't call that a story, but there is certainly more depth there.
You have your opinion, and you giving up on the story is your choice. But I think that your criticism is unfounded.
Also, I choose to discuss with you because you're are the only one in this topic that doesn't bring up the "OMG! New hot guy!!!" stuff and that's far more interesting.

About the character development: you're right. Everything you wrote is right. How much time you needed to type that down? That's really the whole develompent you see there. And now we have 170+ chapters. I have no idea about the background of the silver haired guy (sorry, I'm incredible bad with asian names), his mother had a short appearance (of course she was smoking hot and a bad ass), there was some kidnapping going on, even the kidnappers are incredible hot and I personally think the whole cool-guys-come-and-want-to-get-me is pretty cliche. Not to mention that the black haired guy is somehow related to the kidnappers. The world is small I guess.
The idea that childhood friends fall in love is also not new. The silver haired guy seems to be straight, he only loves his friend - cliche, not to mention that the friend is also straight (straight people getting gay for each other - cliche), the other pairing, the red haired one is a fighter (of course - in every korean manhwa there is some fighting going on - cliche), the other one is abusive, that's also not really new. And the best thing: the sister. Her reaction to the relationship of the two main couples is stupid and just meant for laughter. She really is the most useless character you can think about.
Don't get me wrong. This work is better than most out tere. That's why I'm so incredible annoyed by the storytelling. The author could do better.
I'm giving up because I'm tired. I prefer a "dense" storytelling. I'm sure after xx chapters there will be a BIG emotional moment (like the kiss scene between the main characters) but I will pass on it. My patience run out. Especially after the latest chapter. A new guy appears, who of course is smoking hot. I guess we need 100+ chapter to see some development of him. No thanks. I want to learn more about the characters I already know and I'm not intersted in reading about the newest hot guy who appeared!

It took me almost one hour to type everything down, lol!
Okay, I see your point.
Other than the main and the side, I don't really want to see any other development. I see the new guy only as a plot device and I hope she will go with that. I don't really want to see another character introduced.
The mystery about Jian Yi (silver hair) and He Tian (black hair) is the part of the story.
The manhua (this one is chinese) has comedy in his genres, it's normal to have the comic relief (the sister is has a brother complex).
That remark with the red haired fighter cracks me up!
Also, chill! Do you have some kind of bad blood with hot characters?

"Do you have some kind of bad blood with hot characters?"
LOL. Yeah, I have. Like I mentioned somewhere else: I'm a writer myself. And if my characters are not cool and hot, nobody is interested in my stories. People are pretty superficial, that's annoying me to death. I like to write about dorky and funny characters, not prince charmings. But yeah, people are like: I want hot and sexy! When you write hetero storys the man has to be rich, attractive, cool, smart and of course the best lover with the greatest penis on earth LOL. It's not very different in Yaoi/Shounen-Ai, sexiness is always selling. It's just sad that everything else is not selling that good. Well, I shouldn't complain. I have an "okay" income ... which really is a miracle. When I read a manga and the rating is 9+ I know immediately that will be something I don't enjoy. The highly rated manga are most of the time cheesy, mindless and smutty. 19 days and Saezuru from Yoneda Kou are the only works on this side I enjoy despite the good rating. But lately I'm losing faith in both ... Not to mention that the people who comment only say they should finally fuck. That goes for both works. 90% of the readers are only lusting for sex. And if you complain about it they are like you're telling them the moon is the sun. They completely don't get you LOL.

LOL, I know that feeling. I wanted to write to you earlier when you still had 2 dislikes that people will bash you. And right now, someone is marking every comment you make as annoying. That's the kind of stupidity you get from people when you have a different opinion.
I dislike the hot/rich/smart character setting in stories, but I'd give a shot. When you add a sadist in that, I find it automatically boring. That's why I found the red hair being a refresh amongst those hot guys. I was baffled when they were people who said that they don't know why people like him, he's not that "hot" to be with the black hair.
Of course, I just want to see a good story develop even if the pacing is the slowest I could get.
It's been a while since I've read Saezuru. I don't read many yaoi like before. For me it's just this one and some chinese web novels.
You're a writer, that's awesome. Someday, I would like to buy at least one of your stories.
I'm giving up on this series. I'm tired. No developement, nothing. But a new hot guy. Yeah! Hot, hot, hot ... it's all people can think about. I guess only 14 years old are reading this story.
