I really love all the plot so far and the characters as well. But it really pains me to see the daughter only receiving love AFTER she’s had to die and act a certain way. Her dad, regardless of whatever happened to her mom, chose to have a child. Conditional “love” really hurts the worst.
Like it’s nice NOW that she knows what to do to win his outward and visible approval. But why wasn’t her existence enough in the first life? That hurts me. Like I’m glad he likes her now and super happy for her that she’s feeling better about things, but she shouldn’t have had to do all that. She had to DIE, y’all. That hurts.
