I have a feeling it was because she accidentally fell inlove with the god, and that this was breaking their rules because celestial beings like them weren't supposed to feel attraction, lust, etc, so the god was forced to throw her out of their heaven even if he didn't want to, and she became his enemy out of anger and betrayal.
