You're right, but I also feel like the arranged marriage thing is just Jeha not wanting to stand up to his dad. Jeha can certainly refuse the marriage, arranged marriages require the consent of both parties. He's just not going to refuse because he's scared of his father, and he's stringing MR along because he's too much of a coward to let him go until he has to.
