I highkey lost tract of the plot
What plot?... They already confessed to each other, manga is over!
I think now the plot is Kyoko finding about Kuon/Ren. Everybody from Kuons past his coming to japan. The girl friend from the guy who died in America, the prince guy (his cousin and bully?), his mother already here. And everybody around this mega production, toward what Kyoko is slowly being involved.
I always saw Skip Beat to be about Kyoko growing and becoming an actress a lot more than just one of those girl love boy and the story hook up when they confess kind of story. Something I really disliked about old school shoujo was that at the end of the day it's all about romance and any goal or agency the main female lead has turns to dust the minute the love subplot is resolved.
I like Skip Beat because Kyoko has a goal other than just hooking up with Ren and the manga actually goes through with that mindset and focus on other things. I wish it didn't waste pages on random things like Yashiro wondering if he should talk to private stuff while Moko is in the car but yeah...
Ma too. My favorite chapters, the ones I like to reread are when shes creating the characters (Mio, Natsu, Momiji, the angel on the video clip).
But she got the part ofMomiji 40 chapters ago! And since then, it's just about her relation with Ren. Maybe, the creator is preparing everything to end it?
