I read orginal and it's true Kaori dies there is no alternative universe something like that
hmm. no. original, the brother was killed by a gangster. then ryo in turn killed him. in angel heart, kaori's brother was murdered by a serial killer (flashbacks) fixated on Saeko
It's different in angel heart they changed lot mangaka had some sort of problem with ryu's happiness, that he even killed Kaori right beford wedding and he got a young assassin girl as his daughter just cuz she shares kaori's heart.
I've seen a lot of people being confused by this, Angel Heart takes place in an alternate universe to the original City Hunter. This has been confirmed by the author. In the original City Hunter it's been hinted that Kaori and Ryo did end up getting married.
