Yup in the novel after lewis's death he traveled the world and sent letter to lewis (their apartment) and he invested his money to a research related to lewis's disease as an atonement for his sins and after four years he killed himself out of grief
What the 1st seme did was unforgivable and unforgettable but i love how much he suffered when he discovered that lewis was sick and after dying i just love how he went mentally unstable and became depressed and killed himself off, it just showed that he still loved lewis despite being a cheater and a fuckin cunt. I loved that part
