In the prologue (or idk) it is shown that jeannette was poisoned right? and they blamed athy for it. In the novel jeannette knows that it wasnt athy who poisoned her still she didnt say anything and kept quiet Hence claude or her father didnt hesitated to execute athanasia even if its lacking proofs. At this point claude has been eaten by black magic so he doesnt have any memories of his wife diana.
Another spoiler is ijikiel loved athy since the first life, there was a chapter here where jeannette introduces athy to ijikiel but i forgot which chapter cuz it was just a lil sneak peak from the past. (or lovely princess timeline)
Also the reason why jeannette is loved by everyone in the past is because of the magic and she wasnt aware of it.

Actually Jeannette was unconscious when Claude executed Athy in the first life and was super guilty after wards since Athy died because of her.

Actually, since he used black magic, his hatred was super bad. And if you remember when he woke up, Athy kept making his headaches worst and Jeannette was the one who can calm him down because of the magic casted on her. Thats also what happened in the prologue. But since they were close in the second life, even tho he doesnt remember Athy, he wanted him near her..
May i ask? Why did his father ordered to 'kill' her in the first life? Thanksiiieee ❣
