I thought of that too! Actually, he's probably also capable of taking out a couple of servants when they come inside to check on him and attempting an escape. But it's not Louis' style. He thinks he might be imprisoned because he's in trouble with the law (what a cute innocent airhead lol) and wants to face the music and have his name cleared. The funny thing is, even Sabrina knows he's in there because of the prince. She's walked in on them lying naked in bed often enough, lol.

We haven't seen it in action in the rest of the story, but in chapter 1, the author establishes that Louis is a strong and highly skilled tactical fighter when he's doing fight demo training for the cadets. It's just that we've seen Louis being helpless around Maetel for the entire story, it's very easy to forget that.
