I don't think they're fixating on it exactly, that's just how it looks. My little sister developed prematurely at age 10, she's 11 now, as tall as me, and could pass for years older than her real age. She's similar to the character, just chubbier
man, idk how to tell u this but i was once one of those whose body matured faster than usual, and lemme tell you, the author DID NOT have to draw the characters boobs like that, that's not how clothes conform around them esp not when In schools uniforms, which is notorious for its "unflattering" cutting
yk it's weird that the author sexualized a first-year middle schooled like this. not saying that no middle schooler have body like hers but the way it's panelled, and the way the author draw clothes focusing on those certain parts are kinda iffy to me
