But snakes lay eggs?? Translation error? Or does the author just not know that snakes are oviporous?

?? Please educate me if my understanding is wrong since I'm not that versed in animal biology, but...... for as long as an animal is carrying a baby (egg or otherwise) aren't they normally called pregnant????
Or is there some other term for when an egg-laying animal is carrying, but not yet ready to lay the eggs?
I'm not attacking you are anything, I'm genuinely curious (cause its interesting to know IF there was a different term for a pregnant egg-laying animal)

Like, with our pet lovebirds, we know they're carrying a would-be kid since their stomach is bulging, but they don't immediately lay the eggs..... do snakes' body work differently? Do they immediately lay eggs?
Oh gosh! I'm sorry, I'm just genuinely intrigued hahaha

To be honest, I'm not sure about either. Maybe I'm the one who's being silly. Usually pregnant is used for mammals though, not animals who lay eggs like reptiles and birds

Some snakes can give births to libe babies without eggs. Maybe BamBam is like that

Both... there's snakes that lay eggs and snakes that birth live. Bam bam can either be carrying fertilized eggs before finding a safe place to lay them or be carrying her babies. We'll know which in the future.
