i feel like you are discrediting nokyoung here? revenge? he just want a new life, turn over a new leaf, is that bad? he wants to get away from the bastard WHO USED HIM FOR MONEY, if you forgot the original where he leaked the sex tape himself and was the first to destroy nokyoung. his distrust to hyunjae is justified, esp since he was one of the main reasons he became like that. i am not justifying nokyoung's actions in his past life, this is literally his redemption arc gifted by his mom. it's just you are only looking at the present situation of HJ which might seem terrible but its not like NY forced him to do it. remember you don't go to jail just because your sex tape got leaked, he had debts to pay

i don’t think mc intended to have revenge. he simply wanted a new life away from hyunjae. he realized he was obsessed with hyunjae and practically treated him like some sort of god and he knew that if he stayed with hyunjae, things will repeat. he NEVER wanted to have revenge. when he realized it was his mother who made him go back in time, he said he wouldn't waste this chance. i don’t think he ever blamed hyunjae for all the things he did either, he knew it was HIS choice regardless of the fact that the reason was hyunjae. when he saw the actor he drove to ruin, he didn't blame hyunjae for it, he didn’t make excuses because he knew it was his jealousy and inferiority that drove him to push someone to their ruin. he knew it was HIS fault. he did not take revenge. everything fell into the way it is because of the better choices he made. hyunjae, hanil and that actor was ruined because of their choices, just like how mc was ruined because of his own choices, it was their karma.
although, i do agree on the part where it felt off when ml lied to mc about how hyunjae didn't help them. while at the same time, i got an idea why he did that, probably to not complicate mc's feelings to feel guilty or something, it still felt incredibly off as he didn't have to lie either way. it felt like ml was just trying to not make mc see that hyunjae regrets everything bcs he's not confident. although, i doubt mc will come back to hyunjae even if he regrets everything.

Yes yes! idk or I forgot which line I see about the MC's revenge against HJ.. If I got time to reread it I'll put it here perhaps.. but I agree with correcting his past mistakes etc..it was mentioned when MC's mom's backstory.. that revenge is just what I dont get.
Right! The lying part of ML was kinda unnecessary.. Kinda brings bad taste. Maybe he doesnt want to take any chances of NK pitying HJ.. BUTTTTTTT! We hope there's HJ side stories..He also redeemed himself so he deserves a happy ending
Idk this has been bugging me from the start, why does the MC need to get revenge when he was equally bad (imo much worse) than CEO HJ and Hanil and the other actor. Revenge for what? Because HJ abandoned him? That was his fault in the first place. He just cant have a relationship with NY bec he still have plans with Hanil, but it can be seen that he keeps him in check bec he wants NY to be so much dependent on him so he cant leave that's why he is controlling his career, tolerating his misbehaviours, etc. Probably the acid incident was his last straw. He was like that bec Nokyoung was really an asshole. He bullied celebs and destroyed an actor's career and driven them to kill himself. If there's a thing HJ done wrong that is his greed for money. Also HJ ordering NY to sleep with Kang was Hanil's order, he cant say NO bec he needs Hanil's money. NY also went for it coz he is equally greedy for his career to go up.
Even when NY became good and left him, his feelings for him never changed. He sacrificed alot to drag Hanil to ruin and didnt save himself. Chap 58 made my heart hurt for CEO HJ and it pissed me that Kang did not even tell NY what HJ did in the end for him.He even lied! I feel bad for HJ. He sacrificed his position and went to prison just for NY. He is tbh the one who redeemed himself and really paid for his sins. NY drove someone to commit suicide and now he treated as if he was a victim then turned hero afterwards?I hope HJ would get a second chance and a happy ending in the side stories. I know you wont all agree with me. The story is good but this gives me a bitter aftertaste.
