True. It's like most BL stories can't have a good plot without rape :/ There's so many BL stories with unnecessary rape/sexual assault that it honestly ruins the story. This story seems good so far, so I have high hopes for it.

I totally agree with you. But I wonder how it can be so in demand? Because if there is, it's because there's demand. I think it's people who've never experienced rape, or who have it in their heads that rape is subconsciously sweet and consensual? ¯_༼ • ʖ • ༽_/¯

I think so too. Ppl who haven't experienced rape or sexual assault don't realize how scary it actually is. It's also that characters look pretty/handsome in fiction, so ppl think it's fine for rape to happen and think it's hot. Ppl use the excuse "rape progresses the plot," which can be true in some stories, but it doesn't need to be a necessary thing in BL stories. In most stories, the uke is raped or sexual assaulted, but what happens after? The seme and uke usually just have sex and the rape/sexual assault is just forgotten. It's just there for unnecessary drama.

I think this story won't have any rape bc the seme doesn't like sexual guiding. He only guides through physical contact for now, so I hope he doesn't force himself on the uke and helps keep the uke clear minded.
