technically yes since Rix did not give his consent. He thought it was a dream. Nuah was just reborn as a divine beast, he had no understanding of the human world. there's a scene from a couple of episodes back that left me a bit confused & hopeful that the original Nuah isn't completely gone. That yellow lizard divine beast had said something that gave off that feeling
Alright so it was rape, the issue here is whether Nuah understood the severity of what he did and if it was his instincts as Nuah that influenced him to make that decision. Rape is unacceptable in all senarios but considering the nature of pure divine beasts they likely dont even have the concept of basic humanity nor what can or cant be considered consent since they are still in a pure state (no actual contact with humans). This doesn't really justify what Nuah did consideirng that Rix still felt horrible after he realised what happened. Lucky this thing doesnt have Nuahs memories so his personality and actions are different from the Nuah we all know and love. He also considers himself seperate from the Nuah Rix knew so i can 100% say that this guy is sadly a rapist and the real Nuah might come back soon. They're linked but not the same thank god
he clearly didn't see the severity of it. like it threw me off when he said "I didn't know how precious your heart is", that just showed how disconnected he was from it. it was all instinct. at the time new Nuah kept having visions of Rix, he was clearly confused and didn't know. i really believe the old Nuah is locked/prisoned within the new Nuah. some comments have also been suggesting this, so if this is true I wonder how this will play out. how will things move on from here cuz Rix wasn't mad cuz he had sex with him, but he seem hurt that new Nuah played/humilated him. he wasn't hurt by the act itself but by the fact that we was lied too & betrayed

Yeah but honestly it is still rape, not understanding consent doesnt excempt you from being a rapist. Im sure Rix wasn't upset and theres definetly room for reconciliation BECAUSE Nuah did not understand humans very well nor the value and care sexual acts require in order to be consensual. Rix is upset because he was tricked and humiliated when Nuah acted dumb about what happened as you said. This doesnt mean what they had was sex, it was rape. We cant undo that. Whether or not Rix forgives him is rather unrelated to the act and moreso the lies, Rix has been raped continuously throughout this comic with little to no reaction from a lot of the incidents; which appears to be the way he copes. That is likely why the severity of what he experienced doesnt register. We cant say that this Nuah didnt rape him but we can say that what he did can be forgivable considering his circumstances. He knew it was wrong but likely didnt understand or know what was wrong about it. Of course, the real Nuah has no blame here since the original personality he had is barely there plus he's got zero memories.
Was what he did to rix classified as rape? Im not even sure he fully understood the severity of his actions considering he's fully a divine beast now, he knew it was wrong but is that as far as it goes? This isnt actually the Nuah we know so all i hope is that we can get him back.
