I agree. I feel like Yui's story should have happened earlier because her warriors started to be born even in the Byakko era, while Miaka's were the last and even Chiriko was still a small kid. Like, what was the rush? Why the two gods feud?
I can only surmise it had to happen like this because who knows what would have happened to the in-book world if Kutoh had been left to their own tricks with the power of their god...
Reread this again after so many years and it’s still so good. And i’ve been thinking, yui deserved a separate story other than being ‘suzaku no miko’s rival’. She could also have made an amazing miko… just sayin
