Almuten is a monster. Basically this manhua is in a world where monsters from other dimension enter through portals in this world and kill people. To fight these monsters and close the door (the portals) some people with special power called being Awakened fight in groups with the monsters to close the doors. The Awakened/ espers need guide. Erhwon is one such company which offers the espers jobs. Also when the espers get wounded they need guides to heal them. Now coming back to the point Almuten is like the king of the other dimension and is like the king of monsters. He is the strongest. 13 years ago Almuten appeared and killed uke's parents. Woo shinjae was created in a lab for the sole purpose of killing Almuten.
