so that's how it is? im so fcking sure i saw it multiple times in those "masterpieces manga must read" lists. i've never read it because i thought i won't like it but it had a really good rating.. i knew i cannot trust these fans lmao. it's Super Lovers and Koisuru Boukun all over again.

No the plot is pretty good, i dont remember too well but lots say the story is masterpiece if you remove all the sa in general.

Strong uke characters back then (in 2002) were not the norm, which is why so many found it intriguing.

It eventually turned into a series, with YA eventually trying to salvage the damage from the first few chapters to turn it into a love story between a photojournalist and a crime lord. It is from that point (when it turns into a continuing story in Vol. 3) that the story becomes really good. Vol. 2 is a backstory about the character Fei Long, which sets up the present conflict in Vols. 3, 4, and 5 known as "The Naked Truth" arc

Yeah thats why i was just saying if you forget about the sexual assault its very good, my memory is blurry though since i read this like 3 or 4 years ago. I didn't look at any of the sexual scenes and just skimmed since well, i was homophobic and uninterested so i dont really consider it my first bl. The plot is what I found intriguing though, for now, i will not be rereading this since I've been trying to conquer my 'I want to read' list

I would never recommend Finder as an intro to BL. My first was Ai no Kusabi, which made Finder seem tame
