totally agree, it's so frustrating and sad. I'm waiting on more chapters to come out before reading again because it just breaks my heart to see the nice seme deceived. Like you said, it's a trauma response but come on at least be open with your current partner about what's happening to you. It seems like still can't let go of Jace for some reason. （￣へ￣）
I think its because if his fear of the guy or maybe the guy will spread rumors of him being gay hes already “weird” for some people so if top spread those type of rumors he will be more insecure and get weaker and hes already living hell whit his brother
victims usually have a hard time escaping their abusers (as seen with abused wives, children, etc.) and unfortunately, in eric’s case his abuser came back in person when he thought he was finally free.

totally true! that's a good point, your right it is more realistic and that's a good thing, especially for this type of over Romanized and often very unrealistic media. I hope they keep with the realism though and don't make it a fetish thing like most do. I really love how positive the relationship with his current partner is and hope it continues.

Why isn't he able to just say no to Jace? Like of course I do understand that he has some underlying trauma and perhaps mental illness, but like still... Is Jace holding something over his head to threaten him with or is he just a total pushover? Did I miss something
