Maybe he can talk, but he decided not to? Like something that happens in "Selective Mutism"?
And also he, as a grown up, seems pretty normal ,so I don't think he has any special condition.

It was revealed in the physical book that he's 6 but he's smaller than average. I don't know about the selective mutism since there's not enough info for now
Btw that was possible because he can understand lots of words. You can see that he understands what others say to him but he didn't talk back
super cute!!!! I don't want to dig in but is it possible that Potato is in the spectrum??? I work with children with neurological conditions so if he is, then thats awesome for representation.
