I recommend reading the novel though if you guys don't mind losing braincells due to machine translation. It can get incoherent.
Ok, so i know this is judging the manhwa too early cus there's no official translations yet but..wow. manwha did the novel dirty. They curbstomped all the plot, shuffled, mixed and moved the timeline all over the place, then flooded it with smut.
All those cool character developments and introductions...
Also i know what happened to the red head vassal. His charactef basically got wiped, his plot and personality got dumped into another important vassal of the MC.
They had to do that cus they completely rearanged the plot of the story in the manwha, skipping over his purpose and intro, basically making him nonexistant.
Bruh, the more i read the novel, the more perplexed i am. Im in chapter 25 and NOTHING from the manwha raws go the same way in the novel raws. To be quite frankly, it's almost a completely different story.
From chapter 1 to 25, it's still set in the same monkey village. The novel focuses more on like, the game side of the things. World building and exposition basically. Each of the named character introduced in chapter 1 of the manwha gets to shine and fleshed out in the novel.
There's goddamn dungeon crawling, skill development. All the game shit is explored.
And ya know what i read in the manhwa? Smut. It's focused on the smut. The characters are flat and caricatures of what they're like in the novel. There's even 1 named character from the monkey village that was introduced in the novel abd he's completely gone in the manwha. Poof. There's this red head vassal of the MC introduced first from his kingdom and I CAN'T FUCKING FIND HIM IN THE MANWHA TOT. I saw a redhead in the manhwa, but idk if it's the same character cus in the novel they're described as stoic and doesn't talk much. Won't be able to confirm till translation of manga reaches to that part.
I feel like. This manwha could have the chance to be more succesful if it went the same route as traces of the sun and netkama.
keep the smut and all but wow, they're missing out on the game mechanics and the dungeon crawling vibes.
Im not even that far yet and im already attatched to a lot of the characters in the novel
