Prolly bcuz daiza IS born as a snake.. so his brain.. feeling and all.. is of that of a snake. While toki here,, hes a snake.. but has the feelings of a human... thats why he felt more sympathy :)

It's cause toki is a half human and half snake. He feels emotions just like how humans do. He feels sad when people ignore him and happy when people praise him just like a little kid.
Meanwhile daija was born a snake. He does have emotions after living for so long but he doesn't feel them like humans do.
Ina is more like her father in appearance and in personality. She's literally his human version. While toki is like his mother.
He's so old yet not even ounce of wiseness.. Meanwhile toki so far better n mature
