Exactly!! They literally caused the dad to be gone for a decade so that they can monopolize our MC and replace their daughter. I'm hoping she at least confronts them on how they're wrong. I'm also hoping she will get along with her dad.
The grandparents are selfish to not let the kid know who her father is. They might be kind to her, but all of those are to satisfy their longing to the dead mother.
