ML doesn't know the emperor was drugged and raped by the Empress and that the child was literally forced on him. He also doesn't know that the emperor told the women he didn't want to marry her but she was power hungry and joined forces with the Emperors father to continue the marriage anyway..... Somehow I can't find it in myself to hate the dad so much.....
no amount of hatred for your husband/wife should excuse the neglect and abuse to your child. We’ve seen the same pattern in our current society. Children are born like a blank slate, they are innocent. If anything he should’ve grown a spine to put the empress to her place after all these years..
