And he monitors him, doesn't want him to have friends, laughs when the mc makes a valid complaint instead of apologizing, and is always going on about what he wants and doesn't seem to actually care about how the mc feels. Way too toxic of a character to be saved at this point.
The mc has been miserable the whole story, I don't buy that he actually likes the ML. It's Stockholm syndrome or something if he does.
