The father's the victim of rape but yeah he's always an abusive parent. He abuses the child mentally and is a neglectful father who shouldn't punish the child for the mothers doing . But all this is still independent to the empress being a vicious women, no action encouraged her to become what she is, she chose to do all the things herself
let's face it. the real reason the empress even started all these killings is because of the emperor being an ass to her the first time they met AND THEN leaving her to go somewhere else after their marriage and not even consumating their marriage aka first night shizz. she even had to drug him just so they could have a baby and by then he has already villainized her because "bich how dare you drug me just so you can have an heir" (the emperor's thoughts)
