i love both of them but i'm totally with you. seeing this chapter really left an bad aftertaste in my mouth. it just doesn't feel right.
Yea you pretty much hit the nail on the head with that take. It left a bad taste in my mouth seeing her just pressure him to do that stuff.
Goodness you guys must still be very young if you can't realize what the bigger picture is yet being this far in the story.
She isn't forcing him she's making SUGGESTIONS to him. He needs to out right just be honest and tell her what he feels but he's desperate and doesn't realize that she'll except him whether or not he trys or not but she at least wants him to try. This is healthy communication a proper therapy at least on a basic level. AND SHE IS ALSO YOUNG AND TRYING TO.
You forget that girls mature quicker than boys do so she's handling every situation like any maturing adult would HE just isn't maturing as fast yet, plus he has super power that basically has warped his way viewing things like a normal person would.
In my opinion she has the more difficult task because while she is juggling the scruggles of her owe trauma and goals- she now has the pressure of taming a potential serial killer should he decide he doesn't want to control himself anymore, while she also has to balance her feelings for him. SHE'S LIKE 15/16 AND HE'S LIKE 17. Goodness but I do hope it works out for the better for the both of them. They are a match made in their dreams afterall.
Hate me all y'all want but I really despise it when people force victims to "forgive and forget" and push them towards their abusers and tell them to act kind. ML has been hurt deeply by the people around him and this girl wants him to act all giggly with those same people who hurt him. Now he's forcing himself to become who SHE wants him to be. But no, he needs to go to therapy and work on the afteraffects those people left on him. Poor guy is being pressured again. He needs someone who's understanding of him not force him to do what he's uncomfortable with.
