O goodness! My thoughts exactly. The boiling down of the plotline to that sort of monogamous couplehood was an absolute betrayal to the story's potential.
It was such a cowardly, mediocre move by the author. And my mind went like

i really like this story and i like leesu but having the mc live for so long and experience so many things just to end up here deciding he exists for this one girl is just dumb imo. whether it’s stated that it’s a romantic love or not it still feels like one and i think it’s a really disappointing development in a story like this. and i don’t think mc is a human, i thought that was made quite obvious that he only looks like a human or was just given a human body but whatever maybe that’s just me.
