I think that forest was in the castle grounds and their house was the shed that bardo first found Maya. Maybe it's their way of a peaceful life since the kids are the one who will inherit the granpa skipping bardo entirely. So they don't have castle responsibility, kinda freeloading since they're the next heir's parents. The last page was probably some special occasion or something. Since they're still on castle grounds and a family. Plus I think Maya is more comfortable living in a shed than the palace.

what is going on??? first they were living in the forest and the last page they are in the castle so did the king forgets them or this is only the author imagination?? they didnt clear any thing in the chapters
