I think what they meant by social status is that their partner should be rich and respectable too. But that's just my opinion. All I know is that only female betas and male/ female omegas can get pregnant. I think it said there that there are no female alphas.
Omegas are looked down on. It's why so many alphas prefer to have omega mistresses than wives/husbands. Alphas have the status just by being alphas. So it wouldn't make sense to marry 'down' by marrying an omega. Omegas don't get promoted, they can't attain higher status. This is a fact from the other story. Probably why the glasses guy hide his omega status as well. He loses respect just by being an omega.
Alphas can still impregnate an omega outside of marriage if they're married to another alpha. It is the omegas that would have more difficulty to be with someone else other than their alpha. Therefore yes, the passage meant that alphas usually marry other alphas.
It basically stated that omega's usually live on government subsidiary as well.
Oh, thanks for the info. I don't like omegaverse then. Omegas doesn't have the right to choose to be successful then.. They constantly have heat cycles that needs suppressants or be sexed by an alpha. They are also looked down by people.. It should not be called omegaverse. It should be alphaverse cause alphas get all the perks.. Dang it.
i dont get it. if hachi and suzume were both alpha, who will bear the child? i thought the only one who can get pregnant is omega, therefore i'm confused with the whole omegaverse setting about alpha x alpha marriage to make alpha child. i thought maybe the partner was woman, then it makes sense
