Whenever I reread this, I always find it crazy how the uke’s parents didn’t show back up in the story. Like, you’re kid tried to kill himself. Where are the therapists? His grades have dropped drastically. Where are the professional tutors?
I also found it weird that the uke didn’t try to get his new body in shape. He was a boxer, so he was into fitness. People like that tend to hate being out of shape. I was hoping to see him at least attempt to work out, build some stamina, maybe hit up a boxing gym, etc. Missed opportunity, tbh.
Huh, that’s something I haven’t really thought about before when I first read this. Yeah, in his original body he was in shape and good at fighting, but in this his physic is skinny and kinda frail and is saved by the other guy a few times.
