I honestly can't stand Rio giving her mother the cold shoulder like that, though. Her mother is really sorry and it's actually getting pretty hurt with that treatment. "Crying then sleep then cry again", her mother is going to die early if that keeps up and I seriously doubt that will give Rio peace.
I totally understand that she can't stand her mother for what she did, but instead of hurting her daily making her remember the bad mother she was, she should just move in with Mako. They aren't kids anymore and that would do more to help to maintain some tranquility to themselves.
I hope the freak gets arrested and the mother finds out she's been forcing her daughter to be nice to that jerk. It's the mother's damn fault.
