Yeah authors will do anything to avoid allowing an FL to keep/grow with “conventionally unattractive” physical traits. Have you ever noticed how FLs with any ugly or “undesirable” characteristics almost always get a magical glow up before they can attain any success, happiness, or love? I just feel like it sends the wrong message
I like that she’s happy she no longer has the scar or birthmark (or whatever it was) on her face since it indirectly caused her a lot of pain, but I lowkey wish they kept it and it didn’t just suddenly disappear. Like imo the story rings sort of hollow like this cuz there’s so much manufactured mystery about <What’s Under The Mask?!?>, she opens up about her trauma and her experience of looking like she’s cursed (especially in that scene with the blond guy and the prince), the blond hair ml (I’m assuming he’s the ml lol) demonstrates how he cares for her regardless of how she looks… and then what? In the future she’ll take the mask off and be like WELL actually there was nothing under the mask (the red eyes are visible anyway in the manhwa at least) and she’s very pretty and I’m guessing everyone will treat her differently (not a spoiler I’m just assuming)
But anyway what’s done is done I really like the art so I’m gonna keep reading
