i honestly don't think they were there in the first place. like it seems like when he was a kid his dad abandoned him with zero plans to come back, but after hanjoo made that wish for a family suddenly his "dad" came back into his life. i think one of the reasons nobody seems to react to the fact that hanjoo's dad is missing (i mean hanjoo doesn't really seem to care) is because his dad was... kind of just a placeholder. an illusion, yk. like he wasn't really there. so hanjoo doesn't even really miss him because he never existed. that would also explain why his dad is drawh the way he is.
i am uncomfy. like, ig it's less weird somehow now that we know for sure the step brother is a creature. and hanjoo is under a spell. it's just frustrating to have both seme are major dickheads. like one is an unconsidered asshole and one is not even a human who's absolutely weird. at least if sunbae has a good redemption arc it might change my heart but i find it rare to see a good redemption arc after being such an asshole.
