For someone living in a country with lots of resources, you'd expect an emperor who knows how to utilize it more or atleast have basic problem-solving skills. Dude can't even see the root cause of every problem thrown his way.
Everyone in the comments giving flack about the FL being dumb, she can be dumb but not as dumb as the ML. She grew up in an abusive household, she gets a pass. Progressively she's getting better as she learns more on things she's curious about.
