I agree! Aku needs to learn how to be enough for his own self, and then, when he finally finds someone who truly loves him, he will date again.
Suu has his own feelings to unpack. I don't see they growing together

if I were the author I'd let this recent chapter (ch5) be aku's wake up call and get him his character development where he learns not to be too attached and dependent on somebody and he gets his well deserved love story (not suu).
let suu continue to do what he wants since he thinks it's convenient for him. not everybody needs a lifelong partner
